Assisting a chocking child
An obstruction can cause minor or major breathing difficulties and in severe circumstances, may cause the infant or child to become unconscious or unresponsive
With a complete obstruction the infant or child may show the above signs but also the skin colour may develop a blue / grey tinge. The child will become progressively weaker and eventually they will become unconscious.
