Manual Handling

Manual Handling Practical training course is suitable for all staff who may be called upon to undertake Moving & Handling in the course of their duties according to The Health and Safety Act 1974.  It will approximately take 3 – 4 hours and upon successful completion of the session you will be certificated.

Learning outcomes

• Transfer from chair to chair/ commode
• Transfer from chair to bed
• Individual bed repositioning (Sliding sheets)
• Use of bathroom equipment
• Use of mechanical aids (Rotander, Moving & Handling Belt)
